Hello, Aloha, & Hola!
About me: Born and raised on a West Texas ranch. Nature, cooking, and international traveling is hands down my favorite. I'm a Yogi, writer, witty, and compassion comes naturally. I'm aligned with my gifts and being a therapist is my life's greatest honor. Being in Maui and serving the Aloha community while living my best life is me leaning into my own life goals. Authenticity is important. And the connection and validation that occurs in trauma groups continues to inspire me.
My Story
My soon to be published book Too Much details the whole story, but here's the quick overview. After learning how to build barbed wire fences and survive sexual trauma throughout my childhood, I got a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy. Checked off the corporate ladder as a Director of Family Services for medically fragile children and an Executive Director for Mentally and Intellectually Disabled Individuals. In order to process my childhood trauma, I went to treatment and learned Internal Family Therapy with my therapist. Learning my parts through the lens of IFS helped me tenfold on how to cope with Complex PTSD. ...not to mention I learned how to fall in love with me safely. After years of leading trauma groups in Intensive Outpatient Programs, strategically my career has aligned with my educational knowledge, personal experience, and organic compassion for others by offering a private practice. Professionally and organically I offer a safe space for clients to do their own work individually and in group settings.
